Privacy policy.

This policy explains what information Asset Link Finance & Assets (“Asset Link”, “we”) handles when you use this website or contact us, and the choices you have.

What this website collects

This website has no user accounts and sets no tracking cookies of its own. When you submit an enquiry form, two things happen: your answers open as a pre-filled message in WhatsApp for you to send, and a copy of those answers is recorded in our private enquiry log (a Google Sheet) so we can follow up if the chat does not come through. Nothing else you do on the site is recorded.

The forms only ever ask for what an enquiry needs — contact details, what you are looking for, budget and timeline. Please do not enter sensitive financial details in a form; we collect those later, through a controlled process, only if a transaction progresses.

What we receive when you contact us

When you reach us on WhatsApp, by phone or by email, we receive what you choose to share — typically your name, contact details, what you are looking for, your budget and timeline. If a transaction progresses, we may later ask for documents needed for that transaction (for example identification, income evidence or security documents for a financing application). We ask for those through a controlled process, never in a first message.

How we use your information

We use the information you share to:

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with parties needed to progress your transaction — and only what they need.

Third-party services

Conversations on WhatsApp are processed by WhatsApp/Meta under their own terms and privacy policy. Our enquiry log is held in Google Sheets, so Google processes it on our behalf. This website is hosted on Vercel, and its pages load the Manrope typeface from Google Fonts; those providers may process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the service. Property and vehicle information you see here may originate from third-party sellers, lenders or auctioneers.

Why we may use your information (lawful basis)

We handle your information because you asked us to act on your enquiry, because we need to take steps towards a contract with you, or because we have a legitimate interest in running the business you approached. Where we rely on your consent — for example the tick box on our forms — you can withdraw it at any time by telling us.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not progress are deleted within 12 months. Where a transaction completes, we keep what we must for legal, tax and accounting purposes and no longer. Documents shared for a financing application are held only for as long as that application needs them.

Where your information is held

Our enquiry log and correspondence sit on services operated by Google, Meta (WhatsApp) and Vercel, whose servers may be outside Kenya. That means your information may be transferred out of the country. We use these providers because they offer appropriate security safeguards, and we share only what an enquiry requires.

Your rights under the Data Protection Act, 2019

As a data subject in Kenya you have the right to be informed of how your data is used, to access it, to have inaccurate data corrected, to object to how it is handled, and to ask for it to be deleted where we have no legal duty to keep it.

Write to info@keyseller.co.ke and we will respond within the timelines the Act requires. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) at odpc.go.ke.

Security and breaches

Access to our enquiry log is limited to the people who need it, on accounts secured with two-factor authentication. If a breach occurs that poses a real risk to you, we will notify the ODPC and affected people in line with the Act.

Your choices

You can contact us without using the forms, ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we have no legal duty to retain it. Write to info@keyseller.co.ke for any privacy request.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service grows. The version published on this page is the current one.
